Dating app Hinge has ditched swiping to solve “the dating apocalypse.” After their data revealed that 81% of users didn’t find a serious relationship through the app, the company realized swiping was intended more for “fun or hookups.” The new version of their platform is now more like Instagram—with profiles that can be built with content over time—and less like Tinder.
