It might be hard to believe, but some teens are actually staying off social media. According to a 2015 Pew report, almost three quarters of 13-17-year-olds are using more than one network. But there are some who are choosing to stay off social platforms, and they don’t feel like they're missing out. Some say that watching their peers “get too absorbed” and not have “adequate boundaries” when it comes to their social media usage has turned them off. According to one 19-year-old abstainer: “I’d rather see my friends in person than tweet at them. I don’t want to spend all my time on my phone. I want to spend it in the real world.” (The Wall Street Journal)
