Millennial foodies come in all shapes and sizes, and the kind of food trends they’re trying differs by gender and race—as illustrated by our own Ypulse research.

Millennial foodies come in all shapes and sizes, and the kind of food trends they’re trying differs by gender and race—as illustrated by our own Ypulse research. About 42% of 13-33-year-olds consider themselves foodies, but females are more likely to try healthy trends like quinoa and spiralized veggies, while young males are more likely to try the crafts beer and beer bar trends. Females are also more likely to try photo-friendly trends like food in bowls and poké, likely because of “the hype those foods get on Instagram and Pinterest, which are majority women.” (Washington Post)
