Digital savvy dating teens aren’t feeling the love.

Digital savvy dating teens aren’t feeling the love. A new study from the Journal of Research on Adolescence found that teens who communicate with their significant other more through text and social media are not as adept at managing relationships in real life. A lack of interpersonal cues and nonverbal communication in digital exchanges may be hampering their ability to practice “complex social skills” like stopping fights and explaining how they feel in person. Teen boys in particular “fared worse than girls,” when it came to conflict management. (Quartz)
