Millennials are watching Snapchat instead of TV—according to AOL’s CEO. At a recent conference, the chief exec told the audience, “If you think about, watching the game experience on Snapchat, or any of the event experience on Snapchat…basically it's a fundamentally better experience than television overall…people around the age of 24 essentially are starting to replace the majority of their viewing with that type of viewing.” Ypulse’s most recent media consumption tracker found that 18-33-year-olds are consuming video content on their phones each week more than any other device, including TV.
