Despite their desire for freedom and flexibility, Millennials ultimately want stability. A new study from PwC reveals that older employees are surprisingly more open to freelancing opportunities: 65% of employees 50 and older express the desire to work as independent contractors, while only about a third of employees 34 and younger say the same. But despite their reservations, Millennials are actually more likely to do contract work since, they’re “less tied to their companies:” only a third of employees 35 and younger say they’re committed to their employers, while 55% of Boomers say the same.
