Apple has plans to “empower the next generation with the skills they need to express their creativity.” The brand has announced the launch of Swift Playground, a free iPad app meant to inspire young children to code. It is the “only app of its kind that is both easy enough for students and beginners, yet powerful enough to write real code.” Young aspiring coders can undergo programming lessons through the app’s interactive game, where codes are used to “guide onscreen characters through an immersive graphical world.” The app will also offer users templates to create their own programs.
