Brands are scrambling to be part of Snapchat’s Discover platform, and this week the app updated their Stories and Discover pages to be more “reader-friendly,” and “easier to skim.” Users now have the option to customize their Discover section by subscribing to individual channels, so they “no longer need to see the channels they're not interested in”—which might make it more difficult for publishers to reach them. On the other hand, the update also has the potential to drive more traffic since the branded content users subscribe to will now appear on their Stories page. (Fast Company)
