Salon chain Drybar “has become to blowouts what Starbucks is to coffee,” and made blowout bars a trend nationwide. The blowout-only salon has taken off since opening its first location in 2010, on track to make more than $100 million in sales this year, and planning to add 14 more locations to the 61 they have today. Although the brand originally expected to cater to women “who had a lot more free time,” they ended up finding success with young professional women who stop in a regular basis to maintain their appearance.
