Millennials may have some serious hurdles when heading to the polls to vote. Recent research has found that Millennials and Gen Xers are three to four times more likely to have to wait in line compared to Boomer voters, as their restrictive schedules limit many to vote or register during peak hours. Millennials are also “fed up with the traditional political system,” and tend to register as independents or unaffiliated, which means they cannot vote in the primaries for many key states. College students face the most obstacles: many states consider the out-of-state students as “temporary” residents, making it more difficult for them to vote. (Mic)
