Since we first wrote about the “Facebook of Cannabis,” its two Millennial founders have been named top 10 finalists in the Extreme Tech Challenge. MassRoots was born out of the idea that pot smokers should have a safe space to post photos of themselves, and the social platform app now has 725,000 active users who “share cannabis-related photos, stories, and articles.” Although the startup did not make top three of the competition, they still got to participate in the prize—a trip to Sir Richard Branson’s private island to pitch their company in front of investors.
