Girls send more than a billion emojis daily, and Always recently asked: do emojis represent them? The brand’s latest #LikeAGirl spot asks real girls what they think, and one sums up their overall disappointment: “There's no girls in the professional emojis, unless you count being a bride as a profession.” Most of the girl emojis are pink and focus on hair and nails, and none of the athlete emojis are female. Always’s research found that 75% of girls would like to see emojis get more progressive with female portrayal, and 67% believe the emojis are implying that they are limited in what they can do.
