Since 1991 the government has been annually surveying high school teens to find out if they are up to no good—and today’s teens are the most well-behaved on record. Compared to previous generations, they smoke less and drink less. In fact, “The number of teens who report binge drinking (five or more drinks in the same night) has fallen by a third over the past two decades.” They’re also having less sex, with the number who say they’ve had sex at least once declining 7.3% between 1991 and 2013. That’s one of the reasons the teen birth rate is at an all time low. Oh, they are also less likely to get into a fight at school and more likely to wear seat belts. (Vox)
