You may be getting a Snapchat request from mom soon. The popular social platform is edging towards its “mom moment:” like Facebook and Myspace before it, it’s going mainstream. ComScore reports that “between 15 and 20 percent penetration seems to be where these social services just take off,” and Snapchat reached 15% of U.S. internet users older than 18 in 2015. Even adults who grew up in world without Snapchat are jumping on board: 13% of 35-44-year-old U.S. web users are on it. The addition of the Discover platform has made the app more adult-friendly.
