The NFL is jumping on the virtual reality bandwagon. Attendees of the NFL Experience at the 2016 Super Bowl will be able to watch a regular season game in VR, through four or five different camera perspectives. The NFL has a history of experimenting with media that makes fans feel closer to game action, including microphones on players and the Skycam system. While the NFL says it’s in the “experimental stage with virtual reality,” other sports leagues are “rushing headlong into VR.” (brandchannel)
