Our latest social media tracker revealed that 72% of Millennials are currently using YouTube. Talent manager Andrew Graham, who represents YouTube stars, attributes its popularity to one word: “relatability.” Graham says, “technology is only half of what’s going on,” as young consumers are drawn to “inherently different,” more “hyper-relevant” content than what they’re seeing on TV. He also notes that too many brands are “still in the dark ages” about using YouTube and digital influencers in marketing, and having strategies across multiple social channels is key to engaging Millennials and teens.
