The New York Times and Google Cardboard’s partnership could just “hook a generation on VR.” Subscribers received a Google Cardboard kit with their paper this Sunday, for the launch of the Time’s new virtual reality content. But sending out accessible VR tech didn’t just expose it to a new audience, but their children as well; and those kids could grow up with VR as their norm. According to a Wired author, after the Times was delivered her “Facebook feed filled up with pictures of friends’ kids clutching cardboard boxes to their faces.” (Wired)
