Sesame Street has introduced their first autistic character to their Muppet family. Julia is a new addition to the brand’s “See Amazing in All Children” project, and appears in an interactive storybook with other Sesame Street favorites. The initiative, which hopes to tell affirming stories about children with autism, was developed with help from the autism community, including parents of kids with autism. (NYMag)
