As we’ve called out before, crowdfunded toy startups are serious business. Many of the projects are being created by Millennial parents who aren’t finding what they want in the toy market, and want to create un-gendered or STEM-focused playthings for their own kids. GoldieBlox, Linkitz, and Lottie Doll are some of the success stories of Kickstarter, and major toy companies could very well begin to integrate some of the trends and preferences that crowdfunded toy startups are catering to.
