In 2014 Pizza Hut launched a brand overhaul that included a menu full of more adventurous ingredients (like sriracha) to woo young consumers…but it’s not working. The change up has fallen short of expectations, and the brand now says it will “need to balance its appeal to Millennials with mainstream pizza customers.” But Ypulse research finds that young consumers are the mainstream pizza customers: 13-32-year-olds order out an average of 3.3 times per week, and 81% say they usually order pizza.
