New social app PingTank is using viral tactics and digital celebrities to build buzz for the platform. Founder Jeremy Greene threw a huge launch party attended by Vine stars, musicians, social media personalities, and Kylie Jenner, where he staged a near-arrest and a surprise rap concert to keep PingTank in the ”viral loop.” The app itself allows users to overlay custom animations, sound effects, and music onto their photos.
