Is Millennials’ love of cooking hurting the restaurant industry? Though in theory things are better than they have been since the recession, restaurant traffic is dropping and growth is difficult for the industry to attain. Many consumers, particularly Millennials, are dining at home more often. Ypulse’s recent research on young consumers’ food habits found that 74% of 13-32-year-olds like to cook, and 53% would rather cook or prepare a meal at home than go out to eat.
