Some may say kids should play video games, but that doesn’t mean that playing outside has been abandoned. Tinkergarten is a startup that wants to host play-based classes in parks and other outdoors spots for kids as young as 18-months-old. Classes encourage learning and problem solving and activities like mud pie making can get fun and messy. Tinkergarten is building an online platform to organize courses and allow interested teachers to be vetted and trained to run their own “get outside and learn” classes. (TechCrunch)
