Millennial women have increasingly been delaying motherhood, and recent data indicates that won’t be slowing down anytime soon. The number of women choosing not to have children has doubled since 1970, and it’s possible that women of this generation “don’t want it all,” and are choosing a career over having a family. One survey indicates that Millennial women rank professional success as more important than previous generations did or their male peers do. But current employment systems work against moms: taking a year of parental leave can take 20% off a woman’s salary over the span of her career. (Mic.)
