Startup Cribspot is looking to revolutionize the process of renting apartments for college students. Everyone knows finding apartments is not easy, but it’s especially difficult for college students when many units fill up well in advance before a semester begins and listings typically end up on bulletin boards or for rent signs. Cribspot was founded by three university alums inspired by their own difficulties finding rentals, with the goal of digitizing the process and creating the most comprehensive search engine for both on and off campus university apartments. The service is currently on 56 campuses, allowing students to search for rooms and email landlords directly. (TechCrunch)
