Outrageous Photoshopping isn’t just for Hollywood anymore. Some yearbook photo companies are going beyond “skin smoothing” and taking liberties that actually change the appearance of students. One high schooler was dismayed to discover that her ID had been altered to make her face thinner, and posted the image on Reddit saying, “I have a round face that I have grown to love and now I get my photo back with a different face. The new photo no longer even looks like me.” The story is another example of young consumers calling out image manipulation, and embracing “imperfections” and natural looks. (The Daily Dot)
