The five original Pleasant Company dolls are currently selling for hundreds on eBay, with some being posted for up to $1,990. Most of these original dolls, launched in 1986, have been discontinued, but clearly there is a nostalgia market for them—perhaps among older Millennials who don’t really want to grow up.
