New service Shuddle is Uber for kids, providing rides to children whose parents don’t want to be a chauffeur. Participating families pay $9 a month, plus fees for each ride to use Shuddle, which the founder says is less than a taxi, and the startup is currently active in San Francisco. Of course, safety would be a huge concern when putting your child in a car with a stranger, but Shuddle is insured to transport children, and conducts background checks on all of their drivers, who must also have childcare service experience.
