Millennials have been vocal in their desire to see female superheroes put in the spotlight, and despite some recent progress, one of their biggest desires has yet to be fulfilled. In the wake of news that Marvel has no plans to release a Black Widow movie, passionate fans on Tumblr have begun to organize an online campaign to get the studio to listen. On Sunday November 2nd, these Black Widow-supporters plan to tweet at Marvel Entertainment with the hashtag #BlackWidowMovie, “demonstrating the wide fan base in favour of it.” The post proposing the campaign has gotten over 8,500 notes in a day.
