While the state of healthy school lunches may still be in question (see above), teaching young students about nutritious eating is becoming a part of some curriculums, and Chipotle is pitching in. The brand has partnered with Slow Food USA to build 100 school gardens in urban areas as part of a program that provides “customized curriculum, funding, labor, and other resources to match the needs of the individual schools.” Chipotle is donating $500,000, and the social good tactic is a continuation of their efforts to help teach kids about healthy eating.
