Millennial and teens’ proclivity for stealing content online is well known, but one of their most popular illegal streaming sources wants try a walk on the legal side. Though “synonymous with content piracy,” BitTorrent is now positioning themselves as a way for creators to distribute their content outside of the traditional entertainment structures and directly to fans. Radiohead’s frontman used the site to release his new album—within a week it hit a million downloads—and a post-apocalyptic series will be released as a “BitTorrent Bundle” in 2015. (Digiday)
