Unemployment has continued to be a major issue for young consumers, and as of July 2014 youth unemployment was still more than double the national average. Now a new campaign is aiming to help. The Clinton Global Initiative has announced Grads of Life, a program that will match corporations with young, unemployed Americans who lack a traditional education path. The hope is to put a spotlight on the problem, and help to fill nearly 4 million vacant positions in the U.S. with “opportunity youths” ages 16-24 who have dropped out of high school or college. Grads of Life will depend on big brands’ participation for success. (Fortune)
