The explosion of online videos and the need to create content as marketing to appeal to young consumers has created major opportunities for film students. USC’s School of Cinematic Arts has already set up programs with online studios like New Form Digital and brands like Subway that allow students to work on projects, and be compensated fairly. The online video industry is using universities as “idea incubators and R&D labs” which means that today’s film students could be shaping the future of entertainment content. (Stream Daily)
