Over 60% of Millennials ages 18 to 29 say they don’t have a credit card, according to a new study by Bankrate.com—more than double the amount of those over age 30 who say the same. While it is a fact that Millennials prefer plastic, their fear of debt, the amount of student debt they already have, and mistrust of banks are all likely contributing factors to the generation eschewing Visa and Mastercard, and depending instead on debit.
