Xers are usually portrayed as the most skeptical generation, but in some ways Millennials are less trusting than their predecessors. Research comparing both generations found that Millennials’ trust in institutions dropped more sharply in recent decades. Only 22% of 12th graders surveyed in 2010-2012 said that Congress was doing a “good or very good job” compared to 33% of Xers in the early 90s. Millennials’ trust in universities, news media, and religious institutions also dropped during that time. (ABC News)
