Last night’s MTV VMAs were as twerk-filled as ever, but one of the most buzzed about moments of the show was about social good, not pop star scandals. In a sharp contrast to her performance last year, Miley Cyrus used her stage time to put a good cause in the spotlight, sending a formerly homeless teen named Jesse up to the stage in her place to raise awareness around the issue of homeless and runaway youth. Cyrus’s Facebook page is encouraging fans to donate to her Prizeo campaign in support of the issue. (Billboard, BuzzFeed)
