The next generation won’t just be hyper-monitored from birth, they also won’t be able to pretend they can’t hear their parents’ scolding in the car. Toyota’s latest mini-van, the 2015 Sienna, will come with “Driver Easy Speak” a system that amplifies driving parents’ voices into the backseat so they can be “heard over their kids’ screaming.” The volume can be controlled via dashboard, and the system is one-way only so children can’t shout back at mom or dad.
