The World Cup, which Millennials around the world say is more exciting than the Olympics, is setting new video streaming records. Monday’s match drew 1.4 million viewers to WatchESPN, and Univision and Akami Technologies have also seen record amounts of streaming for the tournament. The digital viewing numbers are only expected to increase, and when we asked Millennials how they planned to tune in, 25% told us they would be watching as many games as they could live on video via TV and streaming.
