Prince is not a fan of Vine. The pop-music icon has filed a copyright complaint against the use of six clips of his music on the video-looping service. Yesterday we covered the rise of the GIF, and how image-based communication through networks like Vine is on the rise. As these images and animations become increasingly common we expect to see some pushback from content owners who want to control how their material is used. But they may be fighting against an un-turnable tide. (Vulture)
