A few weeks ago Ypulse’s General Manager, Jake Katz, discussed how Lena Dunham is re-shaping the meaning behind mainstream. Well, the trend seems to have been circling the air. Last Friday, Variety reported that NBCUniversal is now taking an aim at an emerging demographic known as the “Indie Woman”. The consumer segment that spends about $1 trillion each year is classified as being around her late twenties, unmarried, has no kids, and does not live with a partner. (Variety)
