The U.S. public high school graduation rate reached a 35-year high according to the National Center for Education Statistics with 78% of students in the class of 2010 earning a diploma within four years of starting high school. There was also a notable rise in the percentage of Hispanic students who graduated on time; 71% did so in 2010 up from 61% in 2006. (WSJ)
