Teens often underestimate how much their parents know about their online lives; 9 in 10 parents feel well informed about their kids’ online and mobile behaviors, yet only 62% of teens think their parents are informed. Nevertheless, 95% of teens feel they are safe online and nearly this same percentage of parents agree. This suggests that although there’s a gap in perception about parents’ monitoring, youth tend to be safe online anyway. (Forbes)
