Toys ‘R’ Us is amping up its efforts this holiday season following announcements that it’s releasing Tabeo, a tablet for kids, and it will open pop-up shops inside 24 Macy’s stores. Now “the toy authority” is introducing a holiday marketing campaign featuring kid TV anchors on a fictional newscast show. This reflects a larger trend we’re seeing in that commercials are becoming more like TV shows. (MediaPost)
