Will the voting age become 17? Students in Lowell, MA hope so. Their desire to have a voice and vote has led to the “Vote 17” bill, which if passed, would make Lowell the first city to give under-18 residents the right to vote and would hopefully instill the importance of being involved in politics at an earlier age.
