Our Thumb stat from November revealed that 30% of those ages 13-24 think young people would make better politicians, and policymakers are opening up to the idea of having students on local school boards. Protests and a petition in L.A. recently led to the installment of a non-voting student on the school board, and officials believe that “students are actively, passionately, and fully capable of transforming education.” (The Atlantic)
