The Millennial fight for superwomen is beginning to break ground. On the heels of Comic-Con, where Wonder Woman took center stage, comes the announcement that a female Spider-Man spinoff is in the works from Sony, with an accomplished female scriptwriter to boot. The standalone feature is slated for 2017, and could making a leading lady out of any one of the comic’s female characters, like Spider-Girl, Spider-Woman, or those that are lesser known. (Uproxx)
