Young Millennials may have a reputation for being glued to their smartphones, but some are using their tech resources and creativity to help change the future. The Google Science Fair showcases “brilliant kids” with ideas that could solve some of the world’s problems, and participating teens compete for a $50,000 scholarship. This year’s finalists include three 16-year-olds using bacteria to help combat the global food crisis, and a 14-year-old who hopes to put an end to cyberbullying with software that warns teens when they are posting hurtful content.
