Snapchat has become a favorite of teens and Millennials, and made a splash by rejecting offers of big money, while some wondered why anyone wanted to buy an unprofitable app to begin with. Now the question of how they'll start making money has been answered: Snapchat announced this week that advertisements will soon be added to the Stories feature of the app. The ads will not be targeted and users will have the opportunity to opt out of viewing them, but it looks like our prediction that the platform would soon become a much friendlier place for brands is coming true. (Time)
