How are teens listening to music?

How are teens listening to music? Finding an answer might be more complicated than you would think. A recent survey has claimed that 42% are listening through MP3s, but that same survey left out YouTube as a music source, and exactly what that 42% indicates isn’t exactly clear. Ypulse’s own data on the applications/programs they use to listen to music found that 89% of 14-17-year-olds are listening to music via YouTube, making it the most popular source, followed by Pandora at 68%. 61% said they use iTunes—where those MP3s would come into play.
