YouTube is facing competition, and so they’re taking steps to ensure that their now-lucrative digital stars keep their content on the site. Google is “offering some of its top video makers bonuses to sign multiyear deals” that guarantee they will post their videos on YouTube exclusively before posting them on rival networks, like the one Facebook is working on. However, YouTube is reportedly particularly worried about Vessel, a video startup founded by Hulu's former Chief Executive. (WSJ)
